Why my classes are different
Your band score improves when someone marks your work
Examiners mark IELTS writing and speaking against specific criteria. Your score won't change until someone checks your essays and listens to your answers against those criteria, and in most IELTS classes nobody has time to do that.
I taught IELTS at ILAC in Toronto for many years, preparing students for the band scores their universities required. What made the difference every time was feedback on their work. That's what my lessons are built around, whether it's just the two of us or a group of 8.
A Typical Group Class
🅇 20 or 40 students in one Zoom room
🅇 The teacher talks for two hours
🅇 Your essays and speaking answers go unchecked
🅇 Academic and General students share one class
This Course
✓ 8 people, so I hear everyone speak in every class
✓ I read everyone's writing
✓ Feedback on your mistakes, in real time
✓ From a teacher with 18 years in the classroom
Group Classes
If your test is coming up soon, private lessons are the fastest way to fix what's holding your score back. If you'd rather study in a small group, join the waitlist and you'll hear first when registration opens.
The groups will run live on Zoom, all four skills every week, so you can join in any week without falling behind.

Both. In the group course they get separate classes, because the reading and writing papers are different tests. In private lessons we work on whichever one you're taking.
-
Yes. Plenty of students start with a few private lessons to fix one skill and then join a group.

Both are accepted for permanent residence and citizenship. CELPIP is taken in one sitting on a computer, speaking included, and uses Canadian accents. IELTS General Training has a face-to-face speaking interview. If CELPIP suits you better, my CELPIP group course is open now.
